Welcome to Hello Healing!

I believe that life is full of experiences, and sometimes those experiences can be heavy and hard to deal with or process. And Yes! I know we live in a world that doesn't always encourage us to reach out for help. However, I am here to tell you that you do not have to carry the heavy weight of the world or your experiences on your own. Because you are NOT alone!

As a therapist, who has had her fair share of challenges and heavy life experiences, I want you to know that once you step into my office you are stepping into a welcoming, safe and non-judgmental space. A space where you will have the opportunity to work through your life challenges in order to get to a place where you want to be because I know you are so much more than the issues you bring to therapy.

On a personal note, I am the mother of two awesome (and challenging) boys, a wife, and a shoulder for many to lean on. In my free time I enjoying bingeing a great TV series, traveling, and spending as much time as I can with family and friends.

How it All Began

(admin@hellohealing4me.com)

Chrystal and Michelle were both students enrolled in the Master of Psychology Clinical Counseling program at Brenau University, but they also were full time staff members of Brenau. The duo quickly teamed up and have NEVER stopped working together since.

Michelle and Chrystal even wrote their group thesis in the program together. Talk about a connection that withstands high pressure! Their bond was unbreakable, and they knew they would always be friends, but they did not know at that time that they would also become business partners.

Both Chrystal and Michelle got their licensure for counseling together, literally. (They even have a picture of the both of them mailing in their applications on the same exact day and time.)

Shortly thereafter, the lightbulb went off that they should open a group practice all about healing.

Thus, Hello Healing was born.

Chrystal Strickland

Originally from Southeast Georgia, Chrystal has a Bachelor’s Degree in Justice Studies from Georgia Southern University and a Master’s Degree in Psychology Clinical Counseling from Brenau University. Chrystal is passionate about her career as a therapist and her community here in Gainesville as well. In fact, she volunteers as much as she can.

Chrystal enjoys incorporating the expressive arts into therapy sessions and utilizes various therapeutic styles with her clients. She also regularly assigns homework to stretch the therapeutic experience.

On a personal note, Chrystal is the mother of two humans, Nick and Rachel, as well as the mother of the canine species, her beloved Bruno. She likes to do crafts but is quick to mention that she would have the “most epic” Pinterest Fails page if she ever had enough time to construct one.

Chrystal welcomes you warmly to Hello Healing!

FAQ

  • You have already taken the first step by browsing our website, just click on the black button titled "Request a consultation" at the top of the home page, fill out the information and we will be in touch. Our process begins with a FREE consultation so there is nothing to lose but a lot to gain!

  • Every situation is different. If you have insurance coverage and would like to use it, then your rate would be determined by your insurance company. If you don't have insurance or would like to do private pay, then you would pay our regular private pay rate which is listed on our Psychology Today profile. Just email us individually at the email below our bio information on the main page.

  • That depends on you and your progress. We like to start clients out with once a week therapy sessions and then, as we see progression, we move to once every other week and so forth. If you have trauma in your past, then it could take longer than without it, but all of our clients generally see some improvement within about 3 months of consistent weekly sessions.
